Parameters to pass in the powershell

Apr 9, 2014 at 2:45 PM
what do we exactly pass in this powershell script?
$trust = Get-SPTrustedIdentityTokenIssuer "TRUSTEDLOGINPROVIDER NAME"
$trust.ClaimProviderName = "LDAPCP"
$trust.Update()

Do AD team provide with TRUSTEDLOGINPROVIDER NAME and LDAPCP? I am at loss what should be the parameter for these.

hello,

This project is useful only if you setup SAML authentication in your SharePoint farm.
If you did so, then you created a TrustedIdentityTokenIssuer, and you can get its name (to replace in placeholder TRUSTEDLOGINPROVIDER NAME) with this cmdlet:
Get-SPTrustedIdentityTokenIssuer| ft Name

LDAPCP is the name of this custom claims provider that you downloaded.

cheers,
Yvan
